Glutamine is best taken with an empty stomach and should not be taken by diabetic patients, people suffering from kidney and liver diseases and individuals that are currently undergoing chemotherapy. When taking L-glutamine, inform your doctor about any medical illness that you have and the medications that you are having at the moment to avoid the risk of adverse effects. Do not use L-glutamine as a substitute for any treatment for Crohn’s disease.
